Car lovers were shocked when news broke about the Honda WagonR 7 Seater. At the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), Honda unveiled the StepWGN, a premium MPV that looks like an extended version of the popular WagonR. Priced at 629 million Rupiah (around ₹33 lakh) in Indonesia, this 7-seater has quickly become a hot topic.

Honda WagonR 7 Seater Features

Feature Details
Seating 7 passengers, reclining 3rd-row seats
Comfort Armrest, calf support & sliding function
Safety ADAS with driver-assist features
Design 16-inch alloy wheels, winged headrests
Tech Dual-zone climate control, powered sliding doors

Unlike the regular WagonR 5-seater, the 7-seater WagonR on-road version offers more space and premium comfort. Even the third row comes with reclining seats and calf support, making it perfect for long family trips.

Honda WagonR 7-Seater Price in India – Will It Launch?

Honda WagonR 7 Seater

Right now, Honda has no confirmed plans to bring the StepWGN to India. While the Indonesian model costs nearly ₹33 lakh, if it were launched here, buyers would expect a more affordable 7-seater price in India. Currently, Honda is focusing on its EV lineup, so the WagonR 7-seater India launch seems unlikely in the near future.

However, with increasing demand for family 7-seater cars in India, Honda may eventually consider this MPV. Cities like Guwahati and other Tier-2 markets are showing growing interest in spacious budget MPVs.

WagonR 5-Seater vs WagonR 7-Seater

  • 5-Seater WagonR: Affordable, compact, practical for city drives.
  • 7-Seater WagonR (StepWGN): Premium MPV, advanced safety features, designed for larger families.

Final Thoughts

The Honda WagonR 7 Seater (StepWGN) combines comfort, technology, and space in one package. Though Indian buyers are curious about its price, reviews, and availability, we’ll need to wait for Honda’s official word. If launched at the right price, it could rival Maruti and other MPVs in India.
