Engine & Performance
The Scout range is split into two categories –
-
Sixty models: Three bikes (Sixty Bobber, Sport Sixty, Classic Sixty) powered by a 999cc liquid-cooled V-Twin delivering 85hp and 88Nm. Despite being entry-level, these aren’t short on performance. Interestingly, they continue with a 5-speed gearbox, a rarity in today’s cruiser market.
-
1,250cc models: Five bikes (Classic, Bobber, Sport, Super, and 101 Scout) producing 105hp and 108Nm. The flagship 101 Scout pushes output to 111hp and 109Nm, featuring USD forks, gas-charged rear shocks, and Brembo monobloc brakes for sportier handling.
The Super Scout is tailored for touring with windscreen and leather saddlebags, while the 101 Scout stands out as the performance-oriented option.
Features & Trims
All Scout variants share the same base platform and focus on styling differences – Classic for traditional looks, Bobber for a stripped-down design, and Sport with a fairing and taller handlebars.
-
Standard trim: Digi-analogue gauge, LED lighting, black colourway, dual-channel ABS.
-
Limited trim: Adds traction control, three riding modes (Sport/Standard/Tour), cruise control, extra colour options, and USB charger.
-
Limited + Tech trim (available on 1,250cc models except 101): Upgrades to a 4-inch TFT display with navigation, accident/towing alerts, vehicle locator, and keyless ignition.
Price & Rivals
The 2025 Indian Scout range starts at ₹12.99 lakh and goes up to ₹16.15 lakh before optional trims. In India, its only direct rivals are Harley-Davidson Sportster models, priced between ₹13.51 lakh and ₹16.71 lakh. Indian Motorcycles currently retails its bikes via six dealerships across Delhi, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kochi.
Expert Verdict
With two powerful V-Twin engine options, multiple trims, modern safety tech, and cruiser heritage, the 2025 Indian Scout range brings serious competition to Harley in India. The Sixty models offer a practical entry point into premium cruisers, while the 101 Scout caters to enthusiasts who want sporty performance in a classic cruiser design.
